TTWP is tuned DADGCE, and the main riff is 777000, 555000, 333000, 555000. Then eventually it drops down to something like 002000, 222000, 333000, 555000, 777000. The flippyfast riff is on the G string, 0/2/4/5..4. The chorus is x32000, x22000, x02200, 333000, repeat, then 002000, 222000, 333000, 555000 and 777000. This is from memory, so it may be wrong, but it's roughly right.

The trouble with poets is actually...in CGCFBbD....at least the way he plays it on notes from elsewhere.

Does anyone have a tab or at least the chord progression for "You Meet the Nicest People in Your Dreams"?

Thanks.

tab/chords for "You Meet the Nicest People"
It's in standard. Well, Peter standard, which is DGCFAD capo II, but the chords (how I play them), with some muting:

Intro / Etc.
G - Em - Am - D/F# (320003 - 022000 - x02210 - 2x0232)

If I had my guitar here I could do the rest, but I don't have it in me to figure it out from memory, so I'll post that later. It's something like G - Am - E7sus2 - Am7 - D7/D6 alternating and then another phrase with C in it. I promise, I'll get to it later.

I don't have 5:30 AM, but check my transcription of Ragman that I learned from Peter personally when we had a chance to jam a bit. It's located HERE

Maybe this can help you figure it out.

thanks for the tabs!! On first run-through, it appears the 5:30 AM recording is a kind of hybrid of those two interpretations, with an emphasis on the less ornate...

excellent

That tab is really helpful. Do you have any other songs that Peter showed you?

Out Here
Can anyone get me the tabs for "Out Here" by Peter Mulvey?

And on a kinda separate (but similar) note, can anyone tab the song "Perfect" by Doria Roberts for me? I know it's easy to tab, but I'm such a novice.

Thanks so much.

I'm looking for the chords for Perfect as well. I've just started tabbing it, and I think I have the fingerpicking part down, but I can't figure out the strumming part. Thanks!

I have been seriously trying to find tabs for Doria Roberts' "What do you do" to no avail. Does anyone have a clue about it?

Thanks for replying to my post. What Do You Do and Caught in the Rain are the same song.
The chorus is "What do you do when you are caught in the rain? Do you run for cover? Do you stand in the middle of it? Oh whatever you do it's gotta feel good to you..."

Take care.

I love the song The Fly...any chance I can find this tabbed out somewhere online, or at least get the chords?

The Fly
Intro and verses are just E chord with A string working b c# D etc. then to A, and similar thing.
Chorus is C#m, B, E. Then to end the chorus C#m, B, A(?), G, then to verse form again. Slide part in chorus is something like G#-B and I've forgotten the rest, but you've got the general idea.
Enjoy

TABs for "Charlie"
Farther up this page you can find the guy "Andrew Parkerson-Gray".  If you Click on his name you go to his profile where you can find links to songs he has tabbed out, one of them is a transcription of Charlie.

On the way up Chords?!
Here we go;

Intro:
Em      D G
Em      D G/B C G C

Verse:
            Em      D         G
On the way up    I felt clean
Em         D            C                   G
Driving along in a waking dream
       Em          D     G/B C G C
The rollingest hills I'd    ever seen
C                               D              Em   D    G
Felt like the best me I'd ever be
            Em      D         G
On the way up  I just knew
Em               D                  C             G
The night before I'd been good and true
       Em              D              G     C
And honest and brave and over you
C                          D           Em D   C
It was the easiest thing to do

Chorus:
                      G       Cadd9
But I'm going down
               G          Cadd9
I'm going down
                Em                        G           D
I'm going down to where my demons are

               Em       Cadd9
I'm going down
                G         Cadd9
I'm going down
C                 G                  D
Wave if you see me from afar

              Em        D G
On your way up

On your way up, understand I'm going down
I wish I'd put so much more in your hand
The better part of this heart's bitter land
I swear there is more here than sand

On your way up, think of me
I'll think of you I guess that we'll think of we
And you will always mean what you mean to me
I hope one day we'll look back and see

but I'm going down
I'm going down to where my angels live
I'm going down
Please, remember; please, forgive

Standard tuning, or some exotic Peter variation of. People have asked me before about Cadd9, try this link-should be the right one. Enjoy the music! http://www.all-guitar-chords.com/index.php?ch=C&mm=add9&v=1
